I got acquainted with Shri Rajjat Barjatya during the production of “Uff Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai” under Rajshri Production banner. I was an assistant director for that film during the early days of my career and Rajjat ji was carrying the responsibility for that film.
During the production of the film, I got to meet him quite often and we would end up discussing various topics. He had this special aura of positivity which always kept the team in its utmost spirits even in very dire circumstances.
Rajjat ji was a visionary and an ambitious man. He always said that he wanted to take Rajshri Productions to new height. Despite of a lot of hard work he had put in the film “Uff Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai”, it couldn’t do well due to many reasons.
Next time I met him was a sheer coincidence when I ran into him during a premiere of some film. During the conversation which ensued, he told me that he would never make a film now. Maybe he had lost all hope after the failure of “Uff Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai” and had decided to never to make a film again. But, he knew what he was supposed to do. Driven by his vision and ambitions for Rajshri Productions, he founded Rajshri Media and established new milestones in the field of Digital Technology.
I learned a lot during my time with Rajshri Production which would stay with me all my life. I am still not able to cope with the fact that an exemplary personality like Rajjat Barjatya has moved on from this mortal world, but it is a fact that he has passed away.
Entire Rajshri family is grieving and passing through a tough time. I pray to God that may his soul attain peace and give strength to his family, especially his wife Neha Barjatya and their kids, to endure through these tough times.
