THE youth president of Republican Party of India (RPI-A), North-East, Mumbai Vinod Jadhav, who is wanted in a brutal assault case is roaming under the nose of Mulund police. He also visited the police station several times during the day.

SachinOn September 22, 2014, a youth Sachin Dattatray Naik, registered FIR under sections 326 and 34 of IPC against Rupesh Gulab Patekar (34), Rakesh Gangaram Patekar (28), Bharat Maruti Sonavane (31), Vinod Jadhav and others for assaulting him brutally.

On September 29, 2014 Mulund police, arrested Rupesh Patekar, Rakesh Patekar and Bharat Sonavane and produced them in the court, where they were granted bail on the same day. The police remand application (RA) clearly shows that Vinod Jadhav is wanted in the matter.

The complainant Sachin Naik claims that Vinod Jadhav is roaming in area frequently. He is attending political rallies and the same cops were guarding the rally.

On September 30, 2014 between 12pm to 2am (monday night) Vinod Jadhav visited the Mulund police station several times. He met the arrested accused. Jadhav told him to stop worrying as he has taken care of the police.

“I am the witness. Jadhav visited police station. Police should search CCTV footage, the truth will come fore,” said Naik.

Sachin Naik (28) also alleged that he is being harassed by Mulund police.

On September 24, 2014 ABI (abinet.org) carried an article under headline “Attackers inform Mulund Police prior to attacking the victim – still get away with it.

“I was not there when Jadhav visited police station. I will collect the information,” said Pratiksha Bhagat, Investigation officer, Mulund police.
