ON March 25, 2016, around 9 am, at least eight minor students fled from the Handmaids of the Blessed Trinity orphanage and convent in Vasai and made straight for the police station. The students had undergone terrible experiences inside the orphanage-cum-convent and wanted to register an FIR against the management. The police showed a lot of resistance, but finally, after a great deal of effort, they registered an FIR against the orphanage managers, albeit only under weak sections. What the police did ensure was that complainant Seema Allwyn Creado was also booked, for defaming the reputable orphanage.
ABI blows lid off sordid happenings
ABI (Akela Bureau of Investigation) has blown the lid off the shocking happenings at the Handmaids of the Blessed Trinity orphanage and convent in Vasai after an in-depth sting done by an undercover reporter who spent six months there. After the female reporter dug out the details, some children even approached the police and the Child Welfare Committee. Read the full findings in ABI’s daily series.
Remember, the entire expose was driven by ABI. The 42-year-old Seema Allwyn Creado is a resident of Kanjurmarg (West). She has been attached with ABI as a staffer for many months. She is also a part-time hairdresser in Bollywood. Because of some dispute with her husband, she admitted her two daughters, Elaysa (5) and Triziya (15), in October 2014 to the Handmaids of the Blessed Trinity orphanage and convent in Sapodiwadi, Madi Naka, Vasai (West), in Palghar district, Maharashtra, for a better education and future than she would otherwise have been able to provide. But she was shocked when just after a month her daughters started complaining about ill-treatment by the orphanage management. The daughters told her that the Handmaids of the Blessed Trinity orphanage and convent was a hell for students.
Seema narrated the entire story to ABI editor (investigation) Akela and urged him save her daughters. Akela planned a sting and suggested an expose of the entire activities inside the orphanage. Seema was meeting her daughters regularly and so she became familiar with the orphanage staff. Coincidentally, the orphanage itself offered a teacher’s job to Seema as she was also Catholic. In October 2015, Seema joined the orphanage as resources teacher. She was given the responsibility of teaching the Bible and, mainly, English. Seema always kept her eyes open to see first-hand all the happenings inside the orphanage. Very soon she became friendly with the students. Over time, she witnessed incidents that were shocking in the extreme.

This is a completely false allegation made by someone who has kept her kid there. I have seen her kid’s at the hostel and my entire group of friends have helped out with these kids. In fact there are just three to four Nuns , and they have to handle 103 children. They get little funds and we try and help these children out and the orphanage out in every way possible.
