VIDYASAGAR Vinayak Chavan, an assistant town planner at Ambernath Municipal Council (AMC), was booked on December 19, 2016 for rape after a 32-year-old woman filed an FIR against him. However, Chavan is absconding.
According to FIR (No-81/2016) the complainant is resident of Chitlasar, Manpada in Thane and Chavan is resident of Yashaswi Nagar, Balkum, Thane. Chavan is assistant town planner in Ambernath Municipal Council, Thane district.
Chavan met complainant in September 2014. Chavan told victim that he loves her more. Chavan promised that he will marry her after divorcing his first wife. Chavan promised that he will set up a vegetable stall for her livelihood. After expressing his love Chavan started making sexual relationship with victim. Chavan maintained physical relationship with her so many times at Diamond lodge, Satyam lodge, Sargam lodge, Jaljala lodge and also at her home.
After June 2016 Chavan started ignoring, neglecting her. Even avoided to receiving victim’s call. Helpless victim lodge an FIR at Chitlasar, Manpada police station.
