BAHUJAN Samaj Party (BSP) leader Pravin Pawar has registered a Non Cognizable (NC) complaint against BMC officer Subodh Bhamburde at MRA Marg police station. Subodh Bhamburde allegedly threatened Pravin Pawar with dire consequences when Pawar had gone to meet Bhamburde to check the status of his complaint against illegalities carried out by the flat owners in NCPA building.
Pravin Pawar is the South Mumbai District’s President of Bahujan Samaj Party and Subodh Bhamburde is an Officer in-charge of Ward A of BMC. Co-incidentally, Subodh Bhamburde, officer of A-Ward in BMC is also A-Category corrupt officer in the BMC. This story pertains to Apsara Cooperative Housing Society better known NCPA apartments at Nariman Point, adjacent to the famous Oberoi Hotel. On March 29, 2023, ABI had published an article under headline, *‘Top businessmen in NCPA building make unauthorized alteration in their flats; BMC officials go for inspection and return after taking Chai Pani.’* The top industrialists and businessmen in the country have flats in the apartment. Madhukar Bajaj, owner of Bajaj Finance is the Chairman of the society.
On March 1, 2023 Pravin Pawar had filed a complaint in BMC and Marine Drive police station against illegalities and irregular alterations carried out by flat owners residing in NCPA apartment. One month after he had filed the complaint, on April 6, 2023, Pravin Pawar went to A-Ward office, Fort to check on the status of his complaint. Ward officer Subodh Bhamburde allegedly abused and threatened Pravin Pawar for filing a complaint against prestigious society like NCPA and their prestigious flat owners. He threatened Pawar with dire and violent consequences if he continued filing such complaints against NCPA Apartment owners. Pravin Pawar approached police and registered NC (No-162/2023) under section 506 of CrPC. On March 9, 2023 Marine Drive police has forwarded complaint to BMC and MMRDA for action and informed Pravin Pawar.

According to sources Harish Mittal, Nitin Goel, DB Vaswani, Ravi Vaswani, Sushil Vashwani, Kewalramani, Rachana Jain, Narendra Sanghvi, Madhukar Bajaj, Rahul Bajaj and Kothari have altered their flats. (Read details in next episode of ABI).
