A NRI businessman Anil Vedmehta has figuratively given his seal of approval on ABI (Akela Bureau of Investigation) news article, saying he has suffered from a similar harrowing experience from ‘Gangs of Vazepur’ including IAS Radheshyam Mopalwar and has complained against them. These accused have falsely invoked Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and extortion case on Anil Vedmehta and later demanded Rs 5 Crore from him for withdrawing the same.
Radheshyam Mopalwar an IAS officer is currently posted as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). Radheshyam Mopalwar is the mastermind of the story. ABI published two stories on Radheshyam Mopalwar exposing and detailing how he framed Anil Vedmehta in MCOCA after first seducing his wife Priyanka Mishra and then usurping his properties.
On March 4, 2022 Anil Vedmehta through his lawyer firm Khan Deshmukh and Associates filed a complaint in Santacruz police station against Radheshyam Mopalwar, former inspector Pradeep Sharma, Pradeep Singh (CEO-Paras ARC Consultants), and others. Anil Vedmehta sought the registration of FIR under sections 406, 417, 420, 383, 388, 387, 120 (B), 34, 143, 193, 194, 195, 196, 166, 167 and 168 of IPC and section 7 of Prevention of Corruption act against Radheshyam Mopalwar, Pradeep Sharma and others. According to complaint Radheshyam Mopalwar first seduced and absconded with Anil Vedmehta’s wife Priyanka Mishra and later implicated him in a false MCOCA case through Pradeep Sharma, who was at that time a Senior Inspector of Anti Extortion cell, Thane. Anil Vedmehta has evidence (audio recording) that Pradeep Sharma’s punter-Pradeep Singh demanded Rs 5 Crore to remove the MCOCA section from the matter against him. The accused took Rs 3.5 Crore through another source. The serving inspector at that time, Inspector Rajkumar Kothmire will also be booked into the matter.
Speaking to ABI from Los Angeles in USA, Anil Vedmehta confirmed the complaint filed at Santacruz police station against Radheshyam Mopalwar, Pradeep Sharma, Rajkumar Kothmire, Pradeep Singh, and others.
