THE Anti – Corruption Bureau (ACB), Nashik have arrested Pradeep Umaji Vakchore, a police sub- inspector (PSI) in Indira Nagar police station, Nashik for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 14,000.

A case (case No.: 3042/ 2014) was registered against the complainant at the Indira Nagar police station under section 160 of the IPC on April 27, 2014. The investigating officer in the matter was Vakchore. For investigation purpose he had confiscated the seven mobile phones from the complaint and others. To return those mobile handsets and to take limited action against them he demanded a bribe amount of Rs. 14,000 from the complainant.

Vakchore was arrested in a trap set by ACB officials at the Indira Nagar police station around 5.45 pm on April 30, 2014 while accepting a bribe of Rs. 14,000 from the complainant.
